Zen once again
Naivasha
Since the hike I was supposed to go on with the Swedish School up Ngong Hills this Saturday was canceled, because heavy rain had washed the trail away, Stan, Kennedy, Dan and I decided to go on a spontaneous trip to Naivasha from Friday to Saturday.
At camp Carnelis we started with one of their famous pizzas. MmmM.
The lake

The night was spent at one of Naivasha’s nightclubs and when we woke up we were greeted by fantastic weather (which lasted about 2 hours until it started raining again).

The breakfast was amazing. The others got the so-called Monster Breakfast consisting of a banana, pineapple, juice, coffee, loads of bacon, three sausages, four pieces of toast, two tomatoes and a pile of scrambled eggs. I had a slightly more moderate breakfast, which consisted of a pancake with two fried bananas on top.

At four we were picked up again and taken home.

Karura Forest again

Mau Mau Caves
Stan does NOT like spider web in his face and there were loads flying around so he was a tad grumpy during parts of our walk.
River Karura
The rain has been poring down every evening this week so the bridge we were supposed to cross to get over the river was gone. We didn’t mind much; it just meant an hour more of walking on slippery, muddy paths.
